TEACHERS OF MINE IN JOURNALISUM
One is the Labour Commissioner, Shri Deshmukh
A regular trip of mine to Mumbai stands meeting with the people of Mantralaya. Then it is Bandra Kurla Complex where the Director of Boiler & Director S&H sits. Labour Department is the same building situated and its head Labour Commissioner Mr. Satish Deshmukh sits at 4th floor. The building is known as Labour Office and is under the Ministry of Labour, Govt. of Maharashtra.
Actually I got myself in the lift and thought of meeting a new Labour Commissioner for the first time. Who was kind enough to me that you will get existences of his predecessors Mr. Suresh Jadhav in him as well. His seat was the same chair, before him. Mr. Jadhav was an extraordinary IAS Labour Commissioner I have ever seen.
To me Deshmukh jee was a new Labour Commissioner I never ever met but my heart was saying that I am meeting a man who is my relative.
I have got a problem to walk. Their leg nail of mine got blood which happened while in travelling so forgive me to stand straight.
He stands from his seat leaned towards me and looks at my nails as a doctor and asked me to be comfortable with him. In the talk the phone he received he disconnected to give his full concentration to me. The phone he received was disconnected by him and he received another phone while shifting himself in his antique chamber, asking my pardons to interrupt.
Served me tea in his chamber and asked the peon to take me comfortably at the lift. Open the lift door. See that sahab will get no trouble he got damaged one of his leg nail, he said.
In that half and hour meeting I came to know the men from Nagar who belong to Ahmednagar and came on their highest ability to serve the people while in post. Fakirchand was one who got 2 years extensions as Secretary was Fakirchand. He was Fakirchand Momin Mr. Deshmukh added with my knowledge. At Nasik a widower his PA said to me that the staff had forgotten the good…the ex-chief engineer, Mr. Marathe did. She said further that Fakirchand jee is such a man who spoke to her the verses of GEETA in her problem, she repeated to me. The second one in it was IFS, Mr. Bhangre who took me to Forest when Mr. Ashok Khot the then Secretary of Forest asked Mr. Bhangre to upgrade my knowledge about the people who stayed around the vicinity of forest. The third one was to me was then Supdt. Engineer, PWD, Mr. Suryavansi, who attended my talk at Nagar.
Meeting the acting labour commissioner brings a sense of duty within me and more than that the
omitted sense of humanity within the new generations. Definitely showed me Courtesy of his predecessors Mr. Suresh Jadhav, in him.
The teacher must be good. Teachers are the good one. You have to learn good lessons from him. Only you have to keep humanity and little disciplined in you. Mr. Jadhav, the ex-commissioner of Labour and Mr. Deshmukh were of one batch. They have their masters Like Shrinivas Patil who after his IAS services go on becoming a Loksabha member. He never was an IAS ordinary officer but definitely a leader from whom you may learn a lot.
Once I had been to one Govt. Railway Police Station at Nagpur. I appreciated the talk of Police Station in charge. He said “I AM A STUDENT OF MR. ARVIND INAMDAR. ” firmly.
First thing the PI worked throughout on his mission as a Good police officer. Secondly he boasts himself that he is a student of Arvind Inamdar. When I asked him what is good you have seen in your master at the Satupur, Police Academy, the changed police Traning School, now, at Nasik.
He said Inamdar sir came to the class in academy. It was the first day. And he said “Govt. had given him a gold. ” Only his work is to make out of it a “BEAUTIFUL GOLD ORNAMENTS”. He said, so we should be an ornaments in our services to reflect the images of people about the police force.
I might not be good in he journalism but I should be good journalist Mr. Deshmukh, Labour Commissioner, Govt. of Maharashtra, forced upon me to learn good things in journalism. And I started to be an ornament, then the people will like you. I saluted those officers who became my teachers, even though they were not an officially teachers of mine of my school or colleges. I think, Mr. Satish Deshmukh, Commissioner of Labour stands above all the one teacher to me. He is my philosopher, because I recollected all these different kinds of ornaments because of him. Obviously they all were an IAS and IPS officers. They were Engineers & Teachers as well. But don’t forget it they are different kinds of ornaments, as well.
